We’re just two hours away from the first bounce now and both Geelong and Sydney have arrived at the MCG.
Of course the grand final heartbreak is with Geelong’s Max Holmes who has been ruled out on grand final morning after failing to come up from a hamstring injury.
He’s set to be replaced in Geelong’s line-up by Mark O’Connor, with Brandan Parfitt to be named the medical sub.
“It’s really lineball, it’s just one of those calls that we’re going to have to put the team first. And it’s one of those unlucky stories,” Cats assistant Shaun Grigg told 3AW.
Meanwhile, the Swans have also arrived at the MCG. At this stage, it looks like Sam Reid will play.
